Psychological Growth Assessment
There are moments in a person’s life when the question is not what is wrong, but where things stand. Not every engagement with a psychotherapist begins with a crisis. Some begin with a clearer, if harder to articulate, question: where am I, and what is possible from here?
A psychological growth assessment with Dr Jacquet is a structured clinical consultation — typically two to three sessions — designed to provide a rigorous and thoughtful account of the psychological landscape as it currently stands. It draws on 25 years of integrative clinical experience, Jungian analytical thinking, and a careful attention to developmental history, relational patterns and presenting strengths.
What a Growth Assessment Involves
The assessment is not diagnostic in a psychiatric sense. It does not produce a label or a set of categories. It produces an understanding — of the structures and patterns that are currently operating, of the areas where growth has been interrupted or where it remains possible, and of the kinds of therapeutic work most likely to be useful.
A written summary can be provided following the assessment, suitable for use in personal reflection, in communication with other professionals, or as a basis for ongoing therapeutic work.
Who It Is For
A growth assessment may be useful for someone approaching a significant life transition who wants to understand their psychological position before making important decisions. It may be relevant for professionals in high-pressure roles who want a clear account of their current functioning. It can also serve as a starting point for therapy for those who are uncertain whether they want to commit to an ongoing therapeutic relationship before understanding what that might involve.
